Traditionally, cutting tool users are charged a higher price for a new tool and a lower price for a reconditioned tool. US Tool's Cost Per Use Program allows the customer to be charged a fixed price each time a particular tool is requested, regardless of the condition of the tool (new or reground).
The cost per use is determined by blending the new tool cost with the regrind cost, factored with the anticipated number of regrinds and the projected return and scrap rate.
The Cost Per Use Program can reduce or eliminate customer inventories while streamlining the process of tracking tool costs. |
